…the art of happiness in paint and paper….
My paintings are composed of paint, sketch, pattern and colour – both subtle and bold. Using multiple layers allows me to build a surface rich in texture and detail. I enjoy exploring a variety of subjects from landscapes and flowers to animals and still life. My hope is to rekindle the viewers connection with the natural world.

Ray Swirsky

“I most like to paint landscapes and wildlife from Western Canada, but I am always challenging myself with different material from time to time. If you view my catalogue of work you will find everything from elephants to mountain scenes, still life to portrait, and birch trees to a water bomber over a raging forest fire.”
